from our house to yours

very busy these days- working on our new site as well as holiday madness.
soon we will have everything online from the current show, but until then, here is a peak.

corduroy's own jim mcginley took this beauty at higgins.

the color is perfect.

we will have some of these in december's show, which opens this friday, for sale.

until then, enjoy.

blue magazine

yesterday i received a weathered envelope from japan that enclosed a few copies of the november issue of japan's surfside style magazine, blue.  blue is a beautifully designed magazine that speaks to the creative, independent surf culture around the world.

last fall,  the we were visited by takashi and junko here at the shop.  they took some photos, asked some questions and they were on their way.

a few weeks later we heard that they were doing a feature on the northeast.

but best yet, i opened the magazine and saw a whole feature on all our buds as well!

grain surfboards, the pine haven collective, and ty williams were all featured as well.

man do we feel lucky to be surrounded by some awesomely talented staycationers- mainers that is.

thank you to blue magazine and cheers to our buds for doing awesome things.

donavon frankenreiter visits

this past july, donavon frankenreiter stopped by the shop to chat with drift surfing before his show in portland.  donavon was so great to meet and super down the earth dude.

drift did a great full length feature on the visit, and jim took some great shots.

drift just published the interview- read the full feature here.

we love visitors.

a new crush

i recently came across stina persson's new collection of work, perfectly flawed, and i must admit- i have a crush on just about every one.

i am always looking for female artists that produce something unique and, well- sexy, to be honest.  stina fits that perfectly.

the collection juts came to a close at nyc's galley hanahou.  you can still view the collection here, or visit the artist site directly here.
